Starting from Bruno Munari’s premise that design is the union of reference and imagination, designer Theo Egami developed his practice through a wide range of influences—from classical figures such as Lasar Segall and Gregori Warchavchik to contemporary designers like Arthur Casas and Cláudia Moreira Salles.
Drawing from this rich foundation, Theo affirms that his imagination is shaped by culture and the arts in all their forms. His work becomes the full expression of this convergence, where imagination, history, and experience merge—resulting in pieces that reflect a deep concern for both aesthetics and functionality. His creations reveal his Eastern roots, expressed through straight lines and simple, pure forms, reminiscent of the precise strike of a samurai’s sword. For Theo, design is more than a drawing—it is a way of life.
